Lonely Ship
As I lay in solitude
And my mind wanders
I think of you…
And my heart ponders…
Yearning for your touch
Listening for your words
I wait…
But I can only hear the birds
Their song so Beautiful...
And yet falling short
For my heart wants more…
It sails as a ship without a port
In cooperation with the wind.
But is lost in that great ocean.
Sailing without cause…
Will it ever find its destination?
It sails through the water alone
Seeking a place to rest.
Seeking lands far away.
Maybe it’s for the best..
For in the water it belongs
That great lonely ship.
Forever sailing
Seeking companionship
